I am a military kid, so I was born on Scott AFB in Illinois, spent a few years in Guam and then my father got stationed here at Offutt AFB when I was 4. I grew up here, and then decided at 18 to join the Air Force myself. I spent 6 years stationed in Missouri and then decided to come back home to NE.

Before I joined the Air Force, I had always had a passion for cosmetology. Life took me on a different path for a few years, and when it was time to decide to re-enlist or get out of the Air Force, I decided to follow my passion and I contacted Capitol, and enrolled that same day.

A few of my favorite moments include:

my first week on the clinic floor and how excited I was to be accepting my first clients!

Another favorite moment of mine was when I submitted my work into the Behind the Chair One Shot Hair Awards for 2022, and received a top 100 nomination in the student category, out of 2,000+ entries, that was super exciting and motivating. When I graduated and began to booth rent, I also had the opportunity to go to New York Fashion Week for 2023 Winter Shows and do hair with The Lab, and work with Aquage for product advertisment. It was an incredible experience and something I will treasure forever.

What do you love most about working at capitol?

I love the team environment here and how everyone collaborates to give our students the education and environment they deserve. The students and their knowledge is really what drives my work as the Purchasing and Business Developer here at Capitol, because I love to watch them grow and succeed with the best items that I can provide them with. Capitol was one of my favorite places to be as a former student, and now as a staff member, I am so thankful to be here.
