What made you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry?
“I decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry because when I was a little girl, I was obsessed with reading a book about hair in the lobby of the hair salon I used to go to so ky mom bought me the book and a mannequin for christmas so I could practice all these new hairstyles!” amelia
“Beauty and skincare have always been a hobby of mine growing up, I want to make people feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin.” emma
“I’ve always enjoyed to hair and makeup, and most of it has come pretty easy to me!” macey
“I’ve always loved the idea of getting ready in the morning if that meant picking my outfit the night before, waking up early to do my makeup and hair! I’ve always have a passion for beauty.” hailey
What does your involvement look like in the industry now?
“I used to do a lot of fun and creative eyeshadow looks but during COVID I started doing SFX and I have loved doing it these past few years!” amelia
“I work at a salon and really enjoy learning about clients and different treatments based on each clients lifestyle. I like to learn and try new makeup and beauty techniques on my friends and family.” emma
“I just enjoy doing hair and makeup for different events for friends and family.” macey
What made you decide on Capitol Beauty School?
“My hairstylist went to Capitol and she had nothing but good things to say so I toured and LOVED it!!!” amelia
“I was looking at many schools but after touring capitol I knew that it was the perfect fit for me.” emma
“I chose Capitol Beauty because I loved the variety of skills I can gain form Capitol!” macey
“The reason why I chose capitol was because everyone would tell me how good of a school it was and I went to go visit the school and I loved how welcoming everyone was.” hailey
What is something that scares you, you want to overcome during school?
“I want to overcome my fear of failure!” amelia
“I think what scares me most is not knowing what the future holds, I want to get a sense of what works for me and what doesn’t and what services are going to be beneficial.” emma
“I would like to become more confident and comfortable being on my own. I would also like to become more outgoing.” macey
“Something that I want to overcome during school would be trying new things and worry about not getting it right the first time. It takes practice to make perfect!” hailey
What are you looking forward to most when starting school?
“I am looking forward to meeting new people who are there because they love the same things as me!” amelia
“I am excited to make new relationships and connections while pursuing something that I love.” emma
“Meeting new people and doing something I will enjoy!” macey
What inspires and motivates you?
“I think that knowing I am fulfilling my childhood dream and knowing that my work is going to be something I genuinely love motivates me!” amelia
“What inspires me most about going to esthetics is the many opportunities and possibilities I can experience doing what I love while making people feel beautiful in their own skin.” emma

How do you plan to make an impact on people’s lives when you begin school?
“I want to make sure clients are relaxed and feel comfortable with me, I want to be their safe place and make them feel more comfortable and confident by the time they leave.”
