State financial aid

The State of Nebraska provides the Nebraska Opportunity Grant (NOG) to students who meet certain qualifications.
Qualifications include:
- Being a Nebraska resident
- Attending a Nebraska postsecondary institution
- Having a minimum SAI as determined by completing the FAFSA
-Demonstrating high financial need
Students must have completed the FAFSA to be eligible for the Nebraska Opportunity Grant.
NOG funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis until grant allotments for the award year are exhausted.
Student information is submitted to the State of Nebraska's Coordinating Commission of Post-Secondary Education for final approval, and if approved, grant funds will be applied to the student's account when received.

Capitol Beauty School proudly partners with and accepts funding from Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation.
Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is an employment program for people who experience a disability.
Nebraska VR works with schools and other organizations across the state to help students plan for the future and prepare for careers that match their skills, abilities, and interests.

Capitol Beauty School accepts tribal grants and scholarships for eligible students.
Students with documented enrollment in an American Indian tribe may be eligible for financial assistance through their respective tribal office or authority.
Please communicate with your tribe's education department for qualifying criteria, application processes, and other applicable information.

Capitol Beauty School accepts grants issued by the Connected Youth Initiative.
The Connected Youth Initiative serves "unconnected youth" in rural Nebraska communities. Unconnected youth are defined as young people between ages 14-24 who find themselves disconnected from a positive life course as a result of one of the following:
-Are currently or have been in the Nebraska Foster Care System
-Have had contact with Child Protective Services
-Are homeless or near homeless
-Are lacking the services and supports they need to make successful transitions to adulthood

To ensure timely processing of your benefits, follow these steps:
Apply for benefits on va.gov
Once you receive your certificate of eligibility (COE), email a copy to the financial aid office at finaid@capitolomaha.com
Once your COE is received, we will begin processing your certification with the VA.
requesting education benefits can be a timely process, we encourage students using VA benefits to apply for their benefits once they are sure of their start date.
please note that we will not be able to account for veteran’s benefits in your financial aid package until we receive your COe.

Consistent with the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, Section 3679 of title 38, United States Code, Section 103, capitol beauty school will not impose any penalties due to the delayed disbursement of a payment by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs on recipients of Chapter 31 and Chapter 33 VA Benefits. capitol beauty school will permit any covered individual to attend or participate in the course of education during the period beginning on the date on which the individual provides capitol beauty school a certificate of eligibility for entitlement to educational assistance under chapter 31 or 33, and ending on the earlier of the following dates: 1) The date on which payment from the VA is made to the institution or 2) 90 days after the date the institution certified tuition and fees following the receipt of the COE (Certificate of Eligibility).
Additionally, capitol beauty school will not require that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual’s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to capitol beauty school due to the delayed disbursement of funding from the Department of Veterans Affairs under chapter 31 or 33. A Covered Individual is any individual who is entitled to educational assistance under chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation, or chapter 33, Post 9/11 GI Bill® benefits, and has been verified by the school certifying official as benefit eligible. This requirement is limited to the portion of funds paid by VA.

Esthetics
Our esthetics payment plan is a 4-payment installation plan
payment plan amounts depend on your individualized program cost after aid, and will be discussed during your financial aid meeting.
first payments under the installation plans are due at or before orientation. remaining payments will be drafted on a monthly basis via automatic ACH withdrawal on a date of your choice.
