Tiffany Small | Esthetics Instructor
I’ve been part of the Capitol Beauty School family since 2024. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I’ve always had a love for creativity and connection, which makes this industry such a perfect fit for me.
When I’m not at Capitol, you’ll often find me working on pottery—it’s my favorite way to unwind and channel my creative energy. I also love giving back to the community by volunteering with the Sons of Italy.
What I love most about Capitol is the laid-back atmosphere and the students’ eagerness to learn. There’s nothing quite like seeing that spark of excitement when someone learns a new skill or grows their confidence.
My journey in the beauty industry started in 1993 when I graduated from Capitol’s cosmetology program. I loved it so much that I returned in 1996 to complete my instructor training. I worked in a couple of salons early in my career, but teaching soon became my passion, and I spent 23 wonderful years helping students grow.
In 2017, I decided to explore a quieter side of the industry and attended massage school, graduating in 2018. I loved the relaxed, calming environment of massage therapy and even opened my own business, Blu Lotus Spa & Salon. While I enjoyed that chapter of my career, I found myself missing the energy of teaching, which led me back to Capitol to share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of estheticians.
